A major improvement project at Carson Valley Health is continuing to move ahead, with a groundbreaking expected within the next few weeks.
Did you Know?
Most people don’t realize the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) has a volunteer unit that quietly handles thousands of hours of work each year.
Through the DCSO Patrol program, volunteers assist with things like:
Home vacation checks
VIN verifications
Abandoned vehicle reports
Graffiti enforcement
They also help with administrative work which saves deputies from returning to the station.
In total, these volunteers contribute around 8,000 hours annually.
